Behavioral Agreement:
In order to provide a positive, safe and enriching environment for all scouts, the following rules have been established:
- I will follow the Scout Law, Scout Oath and Outdoor Code. These will be the basis for all of my actions.
- I am expected to be polite to all other scouts and leaders at all times.
- I am expected to follow all posted and verbal assignments specified by the troop leaders.
- I am expected to be prepared for troop meetings and outings by wearing my specified uniform, bringing my handbook and binder for all scout materials.
- I will not bring any electronic devices like radios, walkmans, game boys or other devices to any troop events.
- I will use the buddy system on all camping events.
- I will follow fire safety rules at all campouts.
- I will follow the “Totin' Chip” rules and regulations when using knives, saws and axes.
- I will use the troop sign-out sheet for equipment during camp-outs.
- I understand that if I make a mess, I will clean up my mess.
INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR CONSEQUENCES:
Inappropriate scout behavior as mentioned in the Code of Conduct will be addressed as follows:
LEVEL:
1. Patrol Leader/ Assistant Patrol Leader
2. Senior Patrol Leader/ Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
3. Jr Assistant Scout Master
4. Assistant Scout Masters
5. Scoutmaster
It is expected that attempts will be made to solve problems within the boys of the troop. If a problem cannot be solved within the boys of the troop, the Jr Assistant Scoutmaster will attempt to resolve the issue. If the behavior is severe, an Assistant Scoutmaster and/or Scoutmaster will be involved.
Consequences may include, but are not limited to:
- Apology to the individual or troop
- Additional duties assigned by the scoutmaster of the troop.
- Removal from the activity or future activities.
- If the scout is not in uniform, one hour of community service will be served.
- Parent meetings to address a chronic situation.
